Why jupieyoga?

Many years ago I created Jupieyoga, because I was looking for a short and sweet name that sums up what yoga meant for me at that time. I had just been moving through a challenging moment and yoga had been my anchor and number one tool to reconnect me to joy!

After playing with words, I was suddenly combining the first two letters of my given name Julia with the first three letters of my family name Pieper, then added “yoga” - there we go! I like to laugh a lot and enjoy celebrating life, so I resonated with the joyfulness that goes along with this name.

Did you know that there is more than eleven different Sanskrit words for joy?

Ever heard of: Ananda, Sukha, Mudita, Harsha, Priya, Santosha, Rati, Ananda Maya, Moda, Utsava, Manahprasad? They all describe slightly or very different aspects of joy!

I am sharing Yoga: Full-time and full-hearted.

My profession as an international Yogateacher gives me the opportunity to stay in a flow of learning and sharing. In the past years, I have been traveling around the world to learn from different teachers and to share what I love. I have organized and taught Retreats in Austria, Morocco, India, Lanzarote, Gran Canaria, Malta and Portugal, shared workshops in refugee camps in Palestine, led a Mindfulness Workshop at a Judicial Court in Germany and held lectures and classes on different Yogateachertrainings in India, Germany and Bali before I started to co-teach our own Yogateachertrainings at the Yoga Academy HEAL.FEEL.LEAD.

Trained in Bali, Thailand, India, Mexico and Germany, I’ve had the honor to get certified (more than 1000h) and inspired by internationally known teachers and schools. Growing up in nature (Black Forest, close to France) as the oldest of 5 children I spent a lot of time moving in nature and taking up responsibilities for myself and others. The various student exchange programs that I took part in challenged but mostly inspired me, so I continued spending time abroad: During the time that I studied in Mainz and Frankfurt, I spend several months living, working and studying in Lyon, Canada, Hawaíi and Réunion Island. After completing a Yogatraining in México and falling in love afterwards in the Mexican Caribbean, I got almost married and moved over there. In the end I decided differently but the intense time I had spent there had cracked my heart open in so many ways! It was inspiring and transformative to experience women circles in Mexico and the connection to Pachamama (mother earth) that people celebrate in such a raw and real way and it had truly changed my perspective on life itself. In 2022 I decided to fulfill one of my childhood dreams: to live by the beach - so nothing could hold me back from moving to a 28km long sandbeach in Costa da Caparica (Lisbon, Portugal). I’m sometimes back in Germany (mostly Mainz & Landau area) to see family & friends and share my passions!

I love to create a spacES for you, where you can enjoy, lAUGH, lET GO, learn, experience, grow, and simply be yourself!

Getting to know me better… BESIDES YOGA, MASSAGES & VIOLIN, let me share a few of my RATIs (Sanskrit word for pleasure & delight, can also imply enjoyment in activities or experiences):

Sunsets, hugs & cuddles, ocean dips with head under, my harmonium, laying in the sun with girlfriends, intellectual as well as silly jokes, chocolate, deep talk, cozy homes, pine forests, bonfires & guitar music, personal growth, massages, essential oils, inspiring podcasts and audiobooks, being nerdy about yogic & tantric philosophy, high quality food, my little golden labbiemix!

Since I am a little girl I experience flow when playing music.

I rediscovered this flow-sensation when starting to practice yoga at the age of 18.

I am offering various styles VinyasaYin Yoga, Mindful Flow, Yoga Nidra, Acro Yoga and Mindfulness practices such as the massages that I offer during which I am constantly meditating.

My teaching style is marked by creativity, playfulness, strengthening elements and states of deep relaxation!

I am mixing my love for details and creative body explorations with concepts of modern alignment and physiology.

I love to play with my voice, creating vivid metaphors and poetic analogies as well as the sounds of my violin and hands-on-adjustments to accompany you on your Yoga journey!

My academic background (English and French for Highschool teaching and acting) serves as a support when I am creating holistic, international experiences, workshops, events and Yogateachertrainings that offer both: depth and ease!

Through technical and philosophical understanding, mindful listening and intuition, I am creating Yoga and Massage flows, sound baths with my violin and coaching sessions that invite you to dive deep into connection.

Looking forward to meet you!
